Our next Eucharistic miracle occurred in Trani, Italy, and "happened around the year 1000": "A non-Christian woman who did not believe the true Catholic dogma of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, aided by some of her Christian friends, managed to steal a consecrated Host during the celebration of a Sacred Mass. The woman, as if daring God, put the consecrated Host into a frying pan of oil. Suddenly the Host spilled out masses of Blood, which poured to the floor and out the door of the house." Pray the Rosary! The Rosary is the tool and means for peace. A story is told to us that goes something like this: In his book, The Power of the Rosary, Father Albert Shamon relates a story about how, in 1960, Russia made a credible threat to launch a nuclear missile. In response to the threat, the pope at the time, John XXIII, authorized a request go out to the bishops around the world to pray. As a result, approximately one million people prayed the Rosary at the site of Mary's appearances in Fatima. In addition, dioceses from around the world prayed the Rosary. Very shortly afterward a Russian missile destined for destruction never left the launch pad. A few minutes later the same missile exploded without having lifted off, killing over 300 people.
