Pope Francis Declares a Year of Mercy. Praise be to God! This runs from 12/8/15 through 11/20/16. To read more please read the Papal Bull of Indiction of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy. The Papal Bull, Misericordiae Vultus ("The Face of Mercy"), is short (about 15 pages) and an easy read.
It says, "God is always presented as full of joy, especially when he pardons." While not ignoring justice, the Pope says, "Mercy is presented as a force that overcomes everything." Gratefully he includes, "There will be priests to whom I will grant the authority to pardon even those sins reserved to the Holy See...."
The Holy Mass Explained. Some people have commented on the excellence of a photocopied article on the Holy Mass as explained to Catalina Rivas of Cochabamba Bolivia (a visionary now reportedly living in Mexico). We had sent a copy out to everyone in the email group as an attachment. Not everyone is in the email group, however.
