Hello Everyone,
.
The Year of Mercy.
As mentioned in the last blog post, Pope Francis declared a Year of Mercy, to run from 12/8/15 through 11/20/16. God desires that everyone, without exception, come to Him to receive His love and mercy.
The following are some quotes from Michael E. Gaitley, MIC's book, Consoling the Heart of Jesus. Fr. Gaitley draws often from the writings of St. Faustina:
"Let every soul trust in the Passion of the Lord, and place its hope in His mercy. God will not deny His mercy to anyone. Heaven and earth may change, but God's mercy will never be exhausted (72)" (p. 288).
"My Heart overflows with great mercy for souls, and especially for poor sinners. If only they could understand that I am the best of Fathers to them and that it is for them that the Blood and Water flowed from My Heart as from a fount overflowing with mercy. For them I dwell in the tabernacle as King of Mercy (367)," (pp. 288-289).
"My daughter [St. Faustina], write that the greater the misery of a soul, the greater its right to My mercy.... (1182)," p. 290.
"Oh, if sinners knew My mercy, they would not perish in such great numbers. Tell sinful souls not to be afraid to approach Me; speak to them of My great mercy (1396)," p. 290.
