This next Eucharistic miracle occurred in Douai, France in the year 1254. The Host is preserved to this day. “In the Eucharistic Miracle of Douai, a consecrated Host was unintentionally dropped to the ground while a priest was distributing Communion to the faithful. Immediately he bent down to pick it up, but it lifted Itself up in flight and went to place Itself on the purificator. In Its place, a little later, a wonderful child appeared, who all the faithful and religious present in the celebration could contemplate.” See: http://www.therealpresence.org/eucharst/mir/english_pdf/Douai.pdf.

Fatima – The Sixth Apparition – October 13, 1917 - Part 1.
The date of the miracle promised by Our Lady.
On October 13, 1917, “rain was pouring from the heavens…. The rain, however, did not dampen the spirits of the many thousands of people who came from every section of Portugal to witness the miracle promised. Even the [secular] daily newspapers, until now so inimical to the happenings at Fatima, sent reporters to the scene, and since for days afterwards they carried long articles on the unusual events.” (To this day these newspaper articles can be referenced.)
O Dia, a Lisbon newspaper, reported, “’nearby communities, towns and villages, emptied of people. For days prior to the thirteenth, groups of pilgrims traveled towards Fatima. People from everywhere whom the voice of the miracle had reached, left their homes and fields and came on foot, by horse or by carriage. They traveled the highways and the roads…. For two days these [roads and byways] came to life….’”
“Some estimated the crowd at the Cova da Iria this day to be at least seventy thousand persons. A professor…placed the number at over one hundred thousand.
“It rained hard and the road was a mire; it was all thick slime.”
The three children, still at home at this point, “were as much at ease as they could be.” They had yet to work through the tight crowds to get to the Cova. Among the crowds were atheists, sceptics, and persons desperate for a healing.
The children leave for the Cova. To be continued.

Our Lady of Good Remedy. “800 years ago Christians were being captured by the Moslems and sold into slavery by the thousands, and nobody knew what to do about it. Then, in the year 1198, a man had an idea. St. John of Matha founded the Trinitarians to go to the slave markets, buy the Christian slaves and set them free.
To carry out this plan, the Trinitarians needed large amounts of money. So, they placed their fundraising efforts under the patronage of Mary. They were so successful that, over the centuries, the Trinitarians were able to free thousands and thousands of people and to return them safely home.
In gratitude for her miraculous assistance, St. John of Matha honored Mary with the title of “Our Lady of Good Remedy.” Devotion to Mary under this ancient title is widely known in Europe and Latin America, and the Church celebrates her feast day on October 8. Our Lady of Good Remedy is often depicted as the Virgin Mary handing a bag of money to St. John of Matha.
When in need – for whatever reason, but especially where you have had difficulty obtaining help – invoke the aid of Our Lady of Good Remedy, and you will surely experience the power of her intercession.”
