Eucharistic miracle - St. Stanislaus Kostka

Hello Everyone,

And a special hello to our visitors from the past 30 days - Russia, Sri Lanka, and the United States.

Our next Eucharistic miracle is part of the story of one of the Church's mystics - Saint Stanislaus Kostka.  "At the age of seventeen, was so gravely ill that he seemed very near the end of his life. In that time, he lived as the guest of a noble Protestant who would not even permit him to be visited by a Catholic priest. Stanislaus was not discouraged and one night, in the presence of his tutor, he received Communion in a miraculous way. A few days later he recovered and decided to enter the Jesuit order."  Please see http://www.therealpresence.org/eucharst/mir/english_pdf/Kostka.pdf.

Mission update.  We wanted to share with you where we currently obtain rosaries and miraculous medals, in case you would like good resources at a good cost, in order to continue the ministry where you live.

1.  Rosaries.  Fr. Payton Ministries at http://www.fatherpeyton.org/.  They will send you rosaries for a donation.  The rosaries are soft plastic in multiple colors, and they "break away" and will snap back together again (this helps prevent children from injury).  The rosaries come with instructions on how to pray the rosary.

2.  Miraculous Medals.  Association of the miraculous medal.  See https://www.amm.org/.

The Miraculous Medal.  The Miraculous Medal originates from an apparition of Mary to St. Catherine Laboure, a French nun, living in Paris.  The miracle occurred on November 27, 1830.  On this date, St. Catherine was given a vision and instructions to create the medal.  She was told that "those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around the neck."  The medal has no power of itself; persons are blessed by honoring God, through Mary, in this way.(Source:  Michael E. Gaitley, MIC, 33 Days to Morning Glory.)

God bless you!
